"That tale is wildly fanciful, improbable, and certainly contains not a
shred of truth. I don't believe it for a second. I hope nobody else is
so gullible."

Makes more sense than cellular telephones causing health risks, when the
technology has changed numerous times, power, frequency, and modulation
schemes, since the mid-1940's, the stories beginning in the late-70's,
but the specific claim hasn't, the only commonality being, "cellular
telephone", and "health risk"...

It's probably along the lines of microwave ovens "nuking" things. Nukes
kill, and they have radiation, a microwave oven cooks using radiation,
so an oven must have the associated dangers, and health risks of a
nuclear bomb, no mater how different they are.

Regarding wireless phones, "cellular" is like cells in your body, and
wireless "radiates", to cellular damage, due to radiation.

Never underestimate the power of complete morons to misassociate
drastically different things, tell themselves a story, get scared by
their own ignorance, then watch it become the new reality accepted by
almost everyone.

Regarding radar, some can heat things, heat kills things, the same
specific outcome noted in spas for millennia, so to those that put green
and 14 together, coming up with square, this makes perfect sense!
