Well, my trigger happy computer sent my last without it being quite complete. 
I wanted also to comment: 
So when you hear or see one of the periodic revivals of the Japanese Internment story, you might ask yourself, did the Nihau incident weigh into this decision at all ? 
This was the first meeting of a Japanese 'enemy' with Americans of Japanese descent, and the way it developed might not inspire a lot of trust.
