[Milsurplus] [Glowbugs] LF & HF Crystal Tester prelim comments

I went big and bought the $18 one. It was worth an experiment. But I do not believe all the crystals it fails are really
bad. I don't mean just LF FT-241 either. I don't have time to build my own. It would sure be nice to have some relative
output meter. Maybe a deluxe model would have variable tuning so I could determine whether an overtone type.

Lets be specific about which tester we're talking about.  Amazon and Ebay, I see two different units.
One:  LED display, one connection for xtal, about $10-12.
Two:  LCD display, two connections labeled ">1MHz" and "<1MHZ", about $18,

Glen and Hue, which are you talking about?  I may still design my own.

I got one of those crystal testers several months ago.  Instead of the HC-49/U socket I installed one for FT-243 crystals that will work for HC-6/U crystals and for the wire lead types.  I don't have any problems with the unit reading all types of crystals.
