[Milsurplus] 800 Cycle AC Meter?

There are two types of ac voltmeters, moving iron types, and D'Arsonval
dc movements with a rectifier. Moving iron types are much more
expensive to make, so you're unlikely to see one. I suggest bringing it
up on a Variac on 60 cycles and see what happens. The meter on my TBW
is dual rated, 15 and 150 volt with a 30 ma 4500 Ohm multiplier. I
cannot see inside so what's in there is a mystery. Rectifiers can
behave differently at higher frequencies, so maybe that's why it's rated
600 to 800 cycles.
