BTW, is the film holding up well? Some of the old film material sorta dissolves itself or becomes brittle after so many decades. The condition may indicate sending it to someplace that does (expensive) conservation vs a more run of the mill media conversion biz.

I guess it wasn't stone cold clear enough that I don't see this as a money – maker for me. Ido want to control where it goes, though. That's just a "thing" of mine. I do not think it's fun to unspool the film by hand to see what's on the frames. The film travels at I don't know how many feet/ second but it moves along. I unspooled several feet just to see the end of the credits. I have no manual viewing, crank-type previewer equipment either, so the unspooled film just ends up on the floor. Okay on the no copyright, I understand that now. But I still want to control its disposition until I no longer do. I consider that my owning it, and storing it for these years, had a positive effect (maybe) in saving it from possible loss. thanks for all advice & opinions – Hue >Gently Unwind onto another reel by hand and view with an ocular every few feet. Should be fun to do. If it really has historic value, perhaps donate to an appropriate museum that would appreciate it and possibly immortalize it instead trying to make a lousy buck.
