[Milsurplus] TN-611/U Antenna Tuner

It started with Billy Clinton and got worse with the mulatto doing the most damage. DOD is destroying just about every thing in inventory declares “excess” including P3 Orion parts, when there are many other US Agencies still flying them as well as several foreign entities. No parts, no fly, and Boeing is about the only source of any type of replacement—The P8, a modified 737.,

Follow the money, find the crooks.

I have a couple pieces of that system, they are out there. I have kind of lost hope of finding enough pieces to assemble a full system. They were not always that demil code and a lot was released to the surplus market before becoming restricted. Most stuff was cheap and parted out unfortunately.

A bit more info:

Demil code is D, which requires any declared surplus to be destroyed. So, you folks with a pair, are quite fortunate to have them.

Seems the developer/original manufacturer was Raytheon.

Not TN-611/U but TN-611/G

evidently part of AN/TRC-179

TUNER, RADIO FREQUENCY TN-611/G (NSN 5985-01-205-0877)

applicable manuals

TM 11-5985-377-24

EE111-LF-MMI-010/W110-TN611G

TO 31R2-4-571-2

That's all I know! Good luck
