I appreciate everyone's time and expertise on my question. I mainly lurk here as I find this forum very interesting. I'm a retired airline mechanic and my last real training on tube radios were Navy avionics schools when I was in the USMC '68-'72, so I'm hanging on by my toenails when you guys get into a deep technical discussion. I've had the TCS-12 for many years, found a source for an NOS dynamotor. Got the radio when I was at a technical school in AL in the '70's when they were fixing the throw it in a dumpster. The RX actually works, the TX on CW (didn't try it on AM). It's on my list of things to work on. After reading the Navy manual I have for it, I was just curious as to why they designed the AM TX circuit the way they did. If this dropbox link works, at least one person has done what I was asking about:https://www.dropbox.com/s/fo3eo3abgfa00dr/tcs_more_power.pdf?dl=0He got way less than double the AM output due to the limitations previously described here though. Thanks to everyone.Garrett Fulton
