"The function of this radiosonde telemetering and recording system is to measure, transmit, and record data obtained in areas that are ordinarily
inaccessible from the ground. It is designed to operate in and from high altitude aircraft."

The descend rate of the parachute, about 33 ft / sec, seemed high to me. I think when I was playing with some simple parachute toy ideas this
spring, they ran about 1 ft/ sec - but the higher weight and faster fall descend rate may well have been necessary to prevent collapse in winds.

Real nice photo, Mike, and thanks for the schematic ! I have one of those transmitters somewhere. With a little conversion it would make a
QRP transmitter.
