[Milsurplus] Fw: F.S. Early LM Frequency Meter

Far from useless! With a good frequency counter and a fair bit of patience, you can easily roll your own calibration book. I had purchased an LM with the book, and swapped it with the folks at the USS Ling, whose LM didn't have one. Made my own, and it got me within 50 CPS on one of the ARRL freq measuring tests. If I didn't already have one I'd have snatched this up. At $20 + s/h it's a real bargain and a very useful piece of equipment.

See page 62, article says the LM is capable of 1X10^-7, not too shabby for an old piece of Junque!

I wonder why people argue over the 10% of their differences and ignore the 90% they agree on?

Without the calibration book the meter is just about useless, unfortunately.
