[Milsurplus] Is "Big/Heavy" Mil-Radio Dead?

Folks as to the question of firearms, the price stabilized a few Novembers
back at around 0300 on 21 November when the election was called for Mr.
TRUMP.  A lot of "entrepreneurs" had purchased what is now called a MSR-
modern sporting rifle, aka AR 15 or one of the many cosmetic variants on the
hope of a democrat b........... etc etc being elected. Those "wise"
investors lost their shirts in a manner of speaking,
What once cost a grand is not around 500 bucks.  There are just so many in
the market, as well as a large number of manufacturers, the price will only
go down to essentially the cost of materials and a bit for the CNC machines
to churn them out.  As I travel about, I note that the number of "antique
malls" has dwindled as well.. The current crop of buyers want it right now
via amazon or such, and have no sense of value of a vintage piece of
furniture that is made from solid wood, to last essentially forever, nor do
they appreciate a radio that was built by men and women with tools that most
haven't any idea of what they are, and, while most were built quite well,
specially those for military services, after some 50 or so years, several of
the components have just worn out due to the materials available at the
time.  Properly cared for, maintained, and parts replaced properly, those
radios will still be serviceable and useful when all the millennia kids have
grey hair and cannot find their way across the local bridge without their
latest computer device to tell them which way to send the autodrive car...

Sad.
On a brighter note:

I still have a few R648/ARR41 radios in as removed condition from an
aircraft warehouse where they have been resting since about 1989/90.

They are priced based on investment, cost to get them collected and shipped,
as well as the fact that they are unmolested, but for the Navy inflight tech
working on them.

Dave, that has been the trend of my conclusions too, altho I have not yet
made enough observations to be confidently certain.
I suspect now is a "buyer's market".
I don't have a good handle on the overall collectibles market. 
I wonder how some 'leading indicators' like firearms are doing. I wonder, in
stock terms, would firearms be "value" or "earnings", or does this not
really apply ? 

We went on a little hike in July to Drift Creek across the walkers
suspension bridge. One of the party was an older man, a collector of glass
artwork.
He said the market for it is practically gone. I wonder if some interests
fade, only to come back later, or is it more like never ? That digression
said,
I don't think the future looks good for TCKs and BC-610s. Just my guess.
