I have been using a GENH 30-25(750 Watt Power Supply) to run some
Dynamotor gear. Have the voltage output set to 28.5 VDC(some Kentucky
windage) and the current output to Max. Very little if any voltage drop
on start up. With a max current draw of just over ten amps. There is a
1.5KW model that will produce 50 Amps. And will run on 85 - 230 VAC
Single phase. So a 20 amp circuit will power it nicely.

I believe I recall that someone had found a brand of switching supply
that could handle the cold starting inrush of large dynamotor sets but
apparently I did not keep a copy of that thread. Does anyone have that
info still?
