[Milsurplus] "VHF Synthesizer II" crystal substitute ?

Here's an inquiry I have also posted to Antiqueradios.com :
Has anyone actually had luck finding a schematic for the "VHF Synthesizer II" crystal replacer ? I found this unit in one of my junque
boxes today. I had actually been thinking of looking for one of these for some time now, thinking I could use one with an old VHF
boat radio or some commercial 150+ MHz crystal controlled radio I have. Astonishing how obscure some of these not-so-old things
have become. I wonder if QST maybe had an article on building the same or similar unit.
