One other minor comment - the tube cap more likely goes to one of the grids than to one of the plates.

About halfway down (page 122 through 125), there is a discussion about 
the RDF-1-A, which seems to essentially be the early DU.� The vacuum 
tube is a Navy 38233 (RK-33), which became a type 1642.� I have an extra 
if you need one.� I acquired an L-1130-A DF unit from the RDF-1-A system 
that appears identical to the DU, but had to make a new tube cover for 
it on the lathe because it was MIA.� Photo attached.
