I was told 50+ years ago that old Bell system switchboard repairmen referred to them as “thousand line screws”, and to the special screwdrivers used to install and remove them as “thousand line screw screwdrivers”. I’ve never known of a source for the screws other than salvage.

Subject: [Milsurplus] Pl-55 & etc. tiny brass screws
Is there a nomenclature for those tiny hollow brass screws used to secure terminals inside old brass plugs such as the PL-55 & similar? Threads appear to be 2-64. Is there a source for them these days?
Thanks!
