[Milsurplus] TRW Swap Meet

I do not want to associate myself with anyone who is blaming disagreeable
things on Hispanics.
The food trucks were a good idea while they lasted, especially the BBQ done
by the veterans group.
The stolen equipment situation was largely in the era of the Big Citizen's
Band craze. At that time and at other swap meets, the swap meet officials
patrolled the area and wrote down the serial numbers of such equipment. I
assume this discouraged the reselling of stolen equipment at such swap
meets.
At any swap meet, there always seems to be one or two officials who take on
the air of self-appointed cops. My attitude is: "Never Argue with Volunteer
Labor." Just go along with them and don't sweat the small stuff. Most
officials are as fair and friendly as they can be, given the occasional
rudeness of some swap meet attendees.
Yes, much of the equipment and parts, these days, is of Asian manufacture,
like the new 47uF, 450-Volt filter caps that I got at TRW last Saturday for
$1.50 each.
