Dave, and all - there is some gear whose fate you don't have to be concerned about. That is, displayable and attractive and modest sized.
I mean things like TBY, SCR-194/195 ( premium for complete ! ), TBX, BC-148, BC-611, SCR-511, BC-1000, BC-474, BC-654, maybe BC-348
and Command Sets. And of course, the equipment of WW2 enemies, because it was so already winnowed out. What unfortunately is really
imperiled, as always, are the early GPs, BC-375s, commercial-modified ARBs, AT-12, TA-12, TBW, GO, all those panoramic things and radar things,
jammers....The interest in those is already very limited. I see this winnowing trend only accentuating.
The particular items are my judgement and your judgement may vary.
Maybe we could get Paul Allen interested. He seems to be willing to invest huge money into his Everett WA aircraft and vehicle museum. He has
no need to trade off or sell anything ever. What happens after he is gone, I do wonder. Will he set up a foundation to support it ?
