Hi Robert!

I am trying to put together a ALR-5 system (early '50's) for display here at a little museum I have at the Space Science Center at MSU, I have the tuning head and spectrum display, manual, cables, etc (as I would like to have it operational).  I am an old EW guy and I teach a course that has EW content in it. I have collected up all the WWII jammers as well. Working on how to display them.

My buddy told me to the guy (in a black pickup ?) who said he sold it for 25.00. It was (I am told) in great shape, so would be a good display piece.  I have an APR-4 and also have a -4Y, but both are a little beat and heavily modified.

Thats it!

Might I ask why you specifically want the R-444/APR-4Y?  And what was the price on the one that your friend saw?

I have been looking for an APR-4Y in good condition and a friend of mine had spotted one at Dayton Yesterday in the first row of the infield. He said it was in good condition. Did anyone on the list get it?
Are you in love with it?

Thanks!
Jeff
