[Milsurplus] MAB production numbers ?

I realize likely all we can do is a semi-W.A.G.
I was guessing 5,000. I looked at a couple last night with serials 2630, 3101.
You hazard a guess ? More ?
I am also going to go thru my headphones here to see if any headphone holders of conventional
wire type, will hold the MAB and TBY headphone elements so the 'skullcap' or TBY straps do not
have to be used, so these originals can be preserved in original clean condition.
