A video on the U-2 aircraft by Wall Street Journal at www.wsj.com<http://www.wsj.com>
No unique URL for the video; you have to scroll down the page about ¾ to come to the offering.
I do not know if this video is subscriber-only; I have a subscription, but I was not asked to log in.
I also do not know how long it will be available, so if you're interested, I'd check it out. Has been
up since article in WSJ Friday, June 8 2018, "Old Spy Plane Tries to Learn New Tricks". Article talks
about military program to try to analyze film, yes film in 200 lb rolls, using AI instead of human
scrutinizers using loupes and other optics. Human photo interpreters just cannot work fast enough
to analyze film rolls. Fact: one 12-hour flight photographs whole country of Iraq, down to 8 inch
resolution, 10500 foot film roll.
Video has GREAT scenes with film scrutinizing station, then WSJ reporter suits up and goes along on
test flight.
I found this a SUPER interesting video, I cannot praise it enough. I recommend !!
