I have a very nearly complete MRC-108/GRC-153 setup and a great deal
of extra radios, cases, control boxes and the test sets for sale,
located in Syracuse, New York. I have collected all of these items since
the 1990s, but my interests have changed and I would like to find them a
home. Most of them have never been powered up, they are all in good
untested and unrestored condition. It is is a later version of the
MRC-107/108, the builder's plate says it is a GRC-153. The main
differences are the pallet is solid rather than open frame, and the
control boxes for the radios mount to the fronts of the weatherproof
boxes instead of being in the frame. They are also waterproof. I have
one complete setup except for the pole type VHF antenna and the
fiberglass HF antenna poles. It consists of: one box with a Collins
618-T in it and control box on the front, one box with an ARC-58 and a
Wilcox 807 (or, alternatively, a Collins 618 VHF rig), the antenna
tuner, the antenna base, three amplified loudspeakers, and all of the
major cables. There are mounts for a PRC-41 and PRC-47, as well as for
an RT-524. In addition to the complete rig, I have at three of the
weather proof boxes with radios in them , extra control boxes, a few
extra 618-T transceivers, at least one extra ARC-51 and a few parts for
them, and extra Wilcox 807, one or more extra Collins 618 vhf rigs, at
least one extra antenna base/switch, an extra antenna tuner, and some
hardware. In addition to all of these, I have a control box assembly
intended to remote control two of the HF transceiver boxes and the
cables to connect them, the test set for the Collins 618-T, and will
include a PRC-47, PRC-41, and an RT-524 with the cables, antenna and
tuner, and antenna mount. If you want them, there are 1 1/2 and 3KW
28 volt gas generators and a 200 amp alternator that will supposedly
mount on an M-151. I have spent a good deal on all of these, and want
$5000.00 for it all, but willing to negotiate. Except for the PRC-47,
PRC-41, RT-524 and it's accessories, the generators and alternator, I
will not separate the batch at this time, I really want to sell it all
at once. Pictures are available if you are interested.
