Gaps are used frequently in power magnetics to extend the b-h curve so it
won't saturate during start up and short circuit operation. Iron and
ferrite can be fully or partially gapped. Should only be done with a
diamond wet saw (Home Depot tile saw) or can have gapped by Magetics Inc. or
other.
Should be "perfect" cut surface.
