Some years back, I REALLY wanted the ARR-7. I had a Drake receiver, and this guy had a ARR-7, so I begged him to swap. I'm sure he thought I was crazy.
He was right. The ARR-7 had the distinctive front snout removed. I was not happy with it and soon got rid of it. Another "Oh, well.." tale. I do have the
manual including the Goodheart AC supply details. R. E. must have had a good supply of stuff for a while anyway. I never did understand how the ARR-7
with no bandspread provision could do SSB as well as R. E.'s ads touted. I also wondered about Goodheart's description of the RBM and RBS as the
"Navy's pride". I think that would be more like the RBB/ RBC. The RBM and RBS, as users soon learned, is beautifully built but the tuning is very fast and
the selectivity control should be actually marked "Wide" and "Even Wider". I do still admire its use of a pentode mixer instead of the usual pentagrid
6SA7 or such. I still have several of the RBM – mf receivers, at one time I was more interested in MW BC DXing, and I'm weighing getting rid of those now.

Subject: [Milsurplus] QX-535 Receiver
Hue, in an earlier email Mark supplied a link to the issue of 73 Magazine that has an advertisement on page 77 from R.E. Goodheart listing the QX-535 receiver for sale.
The same issue of 73 has a lengthy article on the QX-535, including photos, on page 68.
Regards to all.
