This guy is an ex-Navy doctor who wants to pay someone to get his URR-35A
running (225-400 Mhz AM receiver). If you can help, please contact him
directly.
He has homes in Henderson NV and San Diego CA. I know nothing more - I am
just the messenger.

We have not touched base for awhile. I am still hunting for someone to
refurbished a R-482. Since last email, picked up another R-482 from Fair
Radio for a song, since it did have the blister plus an undamaged face
plate (I had to cut off the retaining bolts on the first one, some depot
idiot rigged up a substitute that would not release, had to cut bolt off to
get case opened which gouged the face plate) , some broken knobs on the one
from Fair but between the two have enough parts for one good unit if I can
find a technician. The original rig does light up when powered up and
antenna hooked up, but no signals are received, does have an original
crystal in place.

repair men. No one but you has provided any source of knowledge regarding
restoration of many of these radios. After looking at many of your pictures
from Hamfests and Fair Radio, it is apparent that many of these radios are
not as rare as some of these "experts" led me to believe. I have 2 R-
390a's restored by Rick Mish, a working R-220, a working R-648. Lucky the
latter 2 are working as no one has been found to take on looking at either
one should repair be needed.
