---------- GN / RAM -----------
That is a very interesting video.  I miss Will Donzelli's participation on these lists.  Prior to this video, I'd never seen a RAM receiver.

Mike Hanz has on his site an interesting document from Phil/W3SAK that contains some general information about the 1935 WECo liaison set GN/RAM:

  http://aafradio.org/docs/1935-Navy-radio-gear.html

Further information may be found in the USN Type Number book that Nick scanned at:

  http://www.virhistory.com/navy/manuals/nt-900109.htm .

The 1935 RAM consisted of two superheterodyne receivers powered from a common 12vdc dynamotor:
CW-46049 200 to 1500 kHz in four bands
CW-46050 1500 to 13575 kHz in six bands

The 1935 GN consisted of two transmitters (50 to 100 watts, depending on info source) and a common 120vac 800 Hz rectifier unit:
CW-52067 300 to 1500 kHz
CW-52068 1500 to 9050 kHz

---------- GM / RU-2 -------------
There's another interesting 1933 set consisting of the GM/RU-2.

The 1932 RU-2 TRF receiver was used with other USN transmiters of the era, including the GF.  It received A1, A2, and A3, but lacked AVC.
CBY-46012 224 to 12500 kHz using coil sets

The 1933 GM transmitter was made by National Electrical Machine Shops and was 14 watts A1, A2, A3.
CN-52003 3000 to 4525, 6000 to 9000 kHz, crystal contol available

------------- SCR-203 ------------
Here's the interesting part:  The USN's GM was also part of the US Army radio set SCR-203.  The receiver part of SCR-203 was also used in the 1932 SCR-AA-183 command set, the BC-AA-179.
