You ain't just a-kiddin'!  Getting it out of my pickup alone (think
"controlled and well-padded crash") and moved down a brick walkway
with two steps then into the basement was no small feat. The cabinet
along weighs more than many boatanchor rigs. Thank God for my cheapie
Harbor Freight blue hand truck - it paid for itself that day. Had to
add some air to the tires, though.

I've got a want ad running on AMfone with photos of the variable cap.
It's an off-the-shelf E F Johnson unit sold in the tens of thousands
over the decades to equipment manufacturers as well as individuals.
Viking Technologies who bought out Cardwell (who bought out EFJ's line
of capacitors) still makes the cap but doesn't stock it. Single unit
price is around $116 plus a $150 setup fee, so I'm hoping to find one
in the wild.

Unfortunately that one is in Russia. 'Only' $80 but the shipping is a
killer.....
