[Milsurplus] Who was Mr Lanford?

 Good Morning,
Over the years I have acquired a number of technical manualsfrom a variety of sources. Several of them have "L. J. Lanford",or just "Lanford", written in bold script on the cover. It appearsthat at some point he had a large library of manuals.
Does anyone know something about Mr. Lanford?
