[Milsurplus] Another "What is it?" question - A.R.C./Stromberg-Carlson Model D

Quite a lot of detailsd technical information including schematic plus photos was published in QST, October 1930, in a five-page article titled:

"A Multi-Range Receiver With Four Tuned Circuits"
By Robert S. Kruse

Those with access to ARRL's QST archive may download a pdf copy.

It is a TRF that tuned 235 to 8000 kHz, A3 only, no AGC, using these stages:

RF1, RF2, and RF3 - Type 24 x 3
DET - Type 24
AF  - Type 27

The A supply is a 144 volt dry battery.

This receiver and this article have been referenced several times on these lists in the past 15 years.
