A-1 and A-3. 

As I mentioned, I have a photo here which shows an entire room full of them. I would guess 
there are 50 or more in the room, all setting side-by-side and the antenna outputs 
connected to some sort of distribution system in the ceiling.

I was given to understand it was an Army point-to-poiint comm center.

I don't know what sort of traffic they carried.

Apparently also a bunch of them were sent to the North African event during WWII since the 
British found their narrower format easier to install in their trucks.
