Below is an odd but interesting request - if you can help evaluate the
gear in person, please contact Sean directly. If you have an opinion,
please email Sean directly and copy the list, or send to me and I'll pass
it on. Mostly I am curious as to what you guys think. These guys evidently
auction off stuff seized by the cops, etc. I have put the photos that he
sent me at
http://www.navy-radio.com/misc/lax/

In the photos I can see one or more AN/FGC-1 which was an early Western
Electric FSK converter. Also, one or more SCR-562 (BC-639 + BC-640) with
"Air Ministry" tags. Also a couple of Hallicrafters and Hammarlund
receivers. I don't know what some of the other stuff might be,

Hi Nick,
I enjoyed browsing your website. Thank you for all of the information
there. My name is Sean Fraley, and I represent the County of Los Angeles,
CA regarding an estate which contains a lot of radio teletype and other
radio equipment. They have sent me a few photographs and asked if there is
any value to the items, the answer being I really don’t have any idea.

Would you be able to put me in contact with someone who could assist me
with determining if these items have any value, and to whom they might?
The County is trying to make the determination as to whether the items are
worth moving to their estate auction facility.

Kind Regards,
Sean Fraley
