Hi Ray,
Just curious what you sold them for in case I decide to move it on to someone who has the needed hardware?  This one is loaded with five filters from 200Hz to 6KHz.  No preselector.  Over the years I've had loads of old CEI and WJ stuff and still have an 8718 rx.  Yes on the SDR stuff.  If I cant find anyone around here with a working frame to check it out, I can put together a few power supplies and will hunt down, perhaps at Near-Fest, a 50MHz osc. to feed it an see if i can coax it alive.  Just another sexy end of cold war radio toy!
John

The frames are way harder to get then the receivers and also have an external time base that lives on the back of the frame.  The remote control only versions were supposed to be capable of operating from the local control of any of the radios but was never able to get that sort of stuff to work. A lot of the receivers along with their VHF/UHF version and spectrum displays have been dumped and replaced by little SDR receivers that cost a fraction of what they did and take a fraction of the space. Never saw a manual for them, imagine you would ship them back to the vendor when they broke.  I have the VHF version with spectrum display on the bench at home with a blown power supply that I have to get to.    Ray F/KA3EKH          From: milsurplus-bounces at mailman.qth.net [mailto:milsurplus-bounces at mailman.qth.net]On Behalf Of John Flood via Milsurplus
