[Milsurplus] the Johnson Smith microphone caper

I get discombobulated when I travel; don't sleep the same.
So remind me, please: did I already tell the anecdote about when my friend John, as a young boy, ordered the
"talk through any radio" toy microphone from a comic book ad and got instead a No.19 tank set microphone,
with no instructions?
If so, forgive my redundancy!
