[Milsurplus] Unk markings on German portable set

Gang, what do you make of this? German R-3 / RS-20 pair, in chests. Surface rust on metal detail that will require some thinking on my part to
remove and clean up. But - the U 20 designation? We do know this set was carried on U-boats similar to the way the U.S. Navy TBX was the
"shore party" radio. This pair was supposedly captured in Quebec. I was told this by the previous owner, a straight-up guy and a double E or
better engineer. I looked up U-20 and it had limited range and was not sent to N.A. coast. Is there a number faded off, after the 20 ? Seems
unlikely. In 1940 the U-20 was disassembled and land transported and reassembled at a Black Sea port. Scuttled 1944.
The other markings on the cases, I suppose, were some kind of capture inventory? Your opinion is welcome.
