I lead a blessed life my hearing is not really acute so a solid state
pioneer stereo I find at a sale for 0-30 dollars sounds just fine to
me!

I do have a set of Marantz model 9s and a preamp that either need to get
traded off some awesome stuff to display in the museum or become a
display themselves. ( offers considered.)

this is probably a western electric audio transformer so this goofus
thinks he is going to snag an audio nut with it...

the guy is too dumb to realize that the audio quality used for
voice type air traffic control or tactical transmitters is in no was
going to be using the western electric hi fi quality transformer as in a
theatre sound…

Sort of understandable; there was a time not so long ago that you
could have written “Western Electric” on a roll of toilet paper and
the Audio cattle would have crawled over ground glass to buy it.
Now-days, the audio herd has been burned so much by its “leaders”
(read side-show barker con-men), they’ve gotten a bit more “picky.”
That, and as with our community, the younger people don’t have the
emotional ties to real, “manly” equipment. The young prefer the plastic

“Barbie gear” with all the expensive “features” (read “more stuff
to break”), just as do our young.
