[Milsurplus] Allied Radio's 1943 catalog

I was looking at an Allied Radio 1943 catalog last night. I was surprised to see many many components offered. The communications
receiver selection was a little abbreviated but there were some Hallis, Hammarlunds, and Nationals. There were, not surprisingly,
no home radios listed. But what gives with the other equipment? Was there some kind of rationing in place, so only certain approved
buyers, agencies, allowed to purchase these things?
