[Milsurplus] BC-669 rocks

I assume that for example, a RCVR xtal of 3500 kHz, for receive channel 3885, can be used just as well in the transmitter on the rock's actual freq, 3885,
is this right?
If this is correct, what AM 'channels' should I look for in the bunch? Or is 3885 about the only 'defined' AM channel? I don't know, HF is too noisy at
this location for practically any HF listening.
