I thought Dave's point was that the glass meter cover was broken - _not_ 
that there aren't a pile of other sets with the same radium painted 
dials.  I seem to recall that the consensus of this and other groups 
over the years was that there was little danger unless that glass was 
broken or missing, whereupon some careful cleaning was necessary, with 
appropriate disposal of all soiled cleaning materials.

But I've been wrong before...:-)
