I am looking to buy some WWII headset (headphones) parts. I have a couple of
headsets that look like they been in a WWII B-17 crash, shot down over
Germany and then dug up today. The receivers appear to be OK. One is H-1 and
the other is R-14 and I think the harness fits either one of them. It has
not been that long since I saw a new leather and wiring harness on eBay NOS
still in the box. Wish that I had bought it. I went to my father-in-laws
farm where I had a storage building with these stored in it. My
father-in-law is dead now and a tree fell on the storage building 25 years
ago and everything exposed to the rain and etc for 25 years. These belonged
to my father's brother who was a radio operator on a B-17 in WW so I would
like to restore them. Without knowing the correct terminology I will tell
you what I would like to buy because I found my complete set of SCR-274-N
radios for a B-17 and would like to get them on the air:

1. Two double leather head strap??? harnesses that spreads apart on
top of the head (not a single). I assume that the wiring harness is inside
the sewn leather. I don't want the one that the receivers are mounted on a
long rod that slides up and down, flimsy and looks like radio antennas. I
want the one with the rod mounted to the panel that the leather harness is
mounted to and only moves about an inch max. I prefer them new in the box
like the one I saw on eBay if possible, but I would take any that looks
almost new like. No black worn out and stitching coming loose.

2. Two T-17 mikes if reasonably priced.

3. If no wiring harnesses are available I would take two like new
complete headsets if reasonably priced.

Before anyone sees dollar signs appearing in their eyes I am a 100% disabled
vet that is blind and living payday to payday. Not asking for charity, just
a reasonable price. I would like to pay by PAYPAL so I can charge it and pay
it out.
