The models -2 through -5 were the commercial versions of the earlier
30K/30K-1 amateur transmitter, with a dual tank/dual channel set up. A
single 4-125 modulated by a pair of 75THs.
Would like to hear more about your transmitter, Eugene. I've got a model -5
myself, it's a great 'little' (compared to other Collins transmitters) rig
and works well. We host the Collins 30K site and registry on AMfone.net
though it's been down for sometime until we can source replacement software
for the defunct MKportal used previously.
Curious to know if yours came out of 9 Land or northern New England by
chance? There were a couple mod -4s for sale in those areas in recent
years.
