[Milsurplus] Surplus in Broadcast Use

Back around 1980 when I worked with NJ Public TV we had some beast of a
piece of surplus gear used to send video on long remotes.  Can't recall if
it was S band or X band for sure.   I think S band.  All I ever did was
hump it into the van and send the engineers away while I went to the
transmitter site to steer the antenna to find them.  I think it had about a
6 foot dish that was in several sections.  That would have been difficult
to point at X band, and it might have been mesh, which would not have flown
on X band either.   It was a major pain, think they said it was illegal,
and it only got used on the longest hauls.
