Antique Radio Charlotte 2018 - AND - The 4th Biennial Charlotte International 
Cryptologic Symposium 
 
March 22 - 23 - 24, 2018 in Charlotte North Carolina 
 
This year’s meet will be a very special “dual” event with RADIO and CRYPTO 
tracks and attendees: 
 
Thursday  3/22 - Radio and Crypto Forums and Presentations all day (in different 
rooms) 
Thursday Night - "Communication and Crypto WWII and Beyond" special combined 
event 
with a special focus on clandestine (spy) radios of all eras, military radios, 
and mechanical communication technologies

1. Yourself and a spouse or a friend or two or three. Bring someone new to the 
meet this year! And anyone you know who hasn’t attended in a while... 
 
2. A carload or truckload of items for the flea market, Auction, and the 
Equipment Contest! 
- rare radios, not so rare radios, dupes, clandestine/portable and spy radios, 
military radio items, mics, early cellphones, CBs and walkie-talkies, ham radio 
items, aviation radio-related, teletypes, crypto-related, stereo and phonograph 
gear, speakers, headphones, TV items, early computer items, tubes and 
tube-testers, books, magazines, advertising, James Millen items. Foreign radios. 
Any broadcast-related item. Pieces and parts. If in doubt just bring it. 
 
Very knowledgeable attendees will be on-hand to help you identity any mystery 
tubes, radios, or mechanical items. 
 
Downsizing? This event is a perfect venue to offer items to others.  Bringing 
more than 10 items (or lots) for the Auction?  Email Robert Lozier before the 
meet. 
 
PS This will be our 43rd meet and it continues to happen thanks to our dedicated 
team of collector/volunteers!  If you would like to be more involved with our 
club and/or volunteer some of your time while in Charlotte to assist with the 
Auction or one of the other meet functions, please email me!  Also contact me
