I have always wondered about that receiver. It looks like it would be a good one. I'd like to 
see some sensitivity and selectivity parameters from it some time.

I wish there were more of them out there, but apparently not many were made.

I was especially impressed by the bandswitching mechanism. It looks somewhat like the 
turret in an SP-600.
