That's fine with me, and a very timely answer, as I was thinking of getting to this pretty soon.
I don't think my yield will be any better than yours. I expect maybe, with some luck, 50% may be good.
When I have some "good channels" picked out, I'll try to dip them with my Millen dipmeter, and finally, a
use for the special LF coils I bought.
I think maybe the hot – cold changes are not so good for them, plus storage conditions up here can be very
humid. But the main determinants for their failure, I suppose, are in the fabrication and chemistry.

I don't have an immediate need for any of them but have had in the past and probably will again. If you decide to trash them, I'll pay the shipping to here.
Note that back the last times that I was trying to get a BC-604 or 684 working for someone, I was find in most of my stash that the 0 to 20 and 270 to 290 (more or less) didn't work, at least on their original frequencies. Maybe your batch, due to cooler storage conditions, will be different.
