Ken,

The A.R.C. B-13A-1 is not part of the A.R.C. Type 12 or any othe communications system.  It is part of the A.R.C. Type 15F navigation system, and it is not a transmitter or receiver.  It is the Converter that takes the AF output of the R-34A receiver and processes it for presentation on the VOR indicator.

The UHF Transverter for the A.R.C. Type 12 is the TV-10.  The transmitter section is eight crystal-controlled channels between 228 to 258 MHz.  The receiver converter is a simple diode mixer and 110 Mhz local oscillator.  It feeds an R-19A 118 to 148 MHz receiver.

You probably already have this info, since I responding to an old posting.  I did not see a response.
