[Milsurplus] The old 2 MHz boat channels ?

I wish in the heyday I had listened on 500 kHz but for some reason never did and I still don't know why. 
I did at one time have a HB single-tube VLF receiver which I copied several U.S. Navy stations on. And I did
also like to tune my RAL in to CKN's Pacific weather and seas broadcasts, but for some reason didn't
think about 600 meters.
