[Milsurplus] Old Marine 2 MHZ Channels

Just a small correction to my last post, in case anyone looks up the B.C. NDB  LF beacon.
I see Comox BC is now listed as "QQ, 400 kHz".
When I heard it in the 1960s, it was "OX"  and it was on some frequency like 520 or 530 kHz
which could be tuned on many ordinary AM radios. I cannot explain why this odd frequency,
so far out of the usual beacon band.  It was also probably higher powered than
now, as I could hear it on the car radio, at Paine Field AFB, on high ground near Everett WA,
north of Seattle. ( The site is now a civilian airfield, has a Boeing aircraft factory, and also 
Paul Allen's,  Aviation Heritage Museum. )
