[Milsurplus] Unsoldered joints...

Gang,

I've also seen equipment where there was a dab of paint on each joint, 
indicating that it had been inspected.  Presumably, a subsequent 
inspection checked on the dabs.  That's the kind of thing that is 
required to assure reliability.
