Treasure troves do exist. But I'll still bet against any buried NIB Spitfires. 


N. Vietnam seized a hoard of allegedly zero timed USAF C-130 Herc spare engines and tried to broker them at high prices after the US left Vietnam. Without paperwork, they were worth very very little.
