[Milsurplus] Have used a GF ?

Anyone here has operated the GF transmitter?
How does the suppressor modulated AM work out?
Is it markedly less stable than the later 'Command Sets' series ?
I still have a couple of them. I thought about using one as a "Novice station" kind of thing, with
a BC-348. Unmodified, of course. One of the ones i have, has a key jack added, and maybe i should
keep that one and let the unmod one go.
I last tried to put one on the air around 55 years ago. Got no replies then, but i'm sure it whooped like hell.
