[Milsurplus] Nice Hamfest Find: RBD

Went to the Irving, Texas hamfest today.  Nice
little fest I go to every year because of the good
company and I always find a "treasure."

While boatanchors were thin and prices were high
this year, I did find an unusual set:  An RBD receiver
in nice shape.

Is the case for the RBD supposed to be green wrinkle?
I think this must have been GE's attempt at 
competition for the TCS.  Same freq range but
4 bands instead of three.  Four crystal-controlled
channels plus manual.  Provisions to drive a speaker.
Same 12V - 220V power requirements.  Matching
transmitter (I forget the nomen at the moment).
Very similar tube line-up.   Looking forward
to comparing it to the TCS.  It will have a ways
to go to measure-up.  We'll see.
