[Milsurplus] Another "factory A.C. " BC-348 ?

I pulled the "ROK" out of the air. There were some other stamped letters after "INSPECTED BY" but I don't recall them.
I tend to think this is some surplus dealer product but I don't understand why the part of the rubber stamp that says,
READ INSTRUCTION SHEET BEFORE USING. I wouldn't expect to see that, which sounds more government-militaryese.

>25Z5 makes sense if the 348's filaments weren't rewired. But I've never seen that one. The only thing that ROK means to me is "Republic Of Korea".

I looked into my BC-348-L, the one that has a red rubber stamp in upper left corner, reading

MODIFIED FOR A.C.

READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

The A.C. supply is has a much smaller transformer than the other BC-348 I have that has a non-hammy A.C. added.

In this one, there is a shield stamped with "INSPECTED BY ROK". There is a choke and a vertical can capacitor and

the rectifier is something like 25Z5.

What think ?
